Small-Batch Blackberry Syrup

ACTIVE TIME: 30 MIN. I TOTAL TIME: 30 MIN. I MAKES: 12 OZ.

Ingredients:

  • ~ 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup honey

Instructions:

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes, stirring often.
  2. Remove from heat and using a fork or masher; break up any remaining berries to thicken the syrup.
  3. Serve immediately if using on top of pancakes or waffles. Allow to cool completely before storing in the refrigerator.
