- ~ 1 cup fresh blackberries
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup honey
- Combine all of the ingredients in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes, stirring often.
- Remove from heat and using a fork or masher; break up any remaining berries to thicken the syrup.
- Serve immediately if using on top of pancakes or waffles. Allow to cool completely before storing in the refrigerator.
