My copycat recipe for the timeless favorite from Portland’s Fried Egg I’m in Love
ACTIVE TIME: 20 MIN. I TOTAL TIME: 20 MIN. I SERVES: 1
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of gluten free sourdough bread
- 1 seasoned sausage patty
- 1 fried egg
- 2 slices of havarti cheese
- Pesto
- Sriracha mayo
- Kosher salt and cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Toast both slices of bread.
- Spread a healthy helping of sriracha mayo and pesto on each slice.
- Cook your sausage patty and fry up your egg to your liking (I prefer over-medium), season with salt and pepper.
- In the same skillet, layer in the following order: meat, cheese, egg, cheese. Cover and steam to melt the cheese.
- Place the delicious stack on your prepared toast slices and enjoy.
