Grilled Plum & Burrata Appetizer

ACTIVE TIME: 20 MIN. I TOTAL TIME: 20 MIN. I SERVES: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of freshly chopped basil
  • 2 balls of burrata, at room temperature
  • ~ 1 lbs. plums or cherry plums, quartered
  • 2 teaspoons honey or mikes hot honey
  • Balsamic glaze
  • Kosher salt
  • Grill topper pan like this.
  • Toasted or grilled baguette, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat grill to 400°.
  2. Add the pitted a quartered plums to your nonstick grill topper (add olive oil if needed). Drizzle about 2 teaspoons of hot honey on top.
  3. Place the plums on the grill and cook for about 10 minutes before removing from the heat.
  4. While the plums are caramelizing, chop the fresh basil and place on your serving platter. Gently split the burrata balls and lay them on top of the bed of basil.
  5. Place the grilled plums on top of the burrata and add a healthy drizzle of hot honey with balsamic glaze and a sprinkle of kosher salt. Serve with sliced, grilled baguette.
