Ingredients:
- Mae Ploy Sweet Chili Sauce
- Olive oil
- Shredded mozzarella
- Sliced ham or Canadian bacon
- Bacon, cooked
- 1 bunch of green onions, sliced
- A handful of cilantro, roughly chopped
- 1 sweet onion, thinly sliced
- 6 cloves of garlic, chopped
- Freshly grated ginger
- Italian cheese blend – I love Asiago, Romano and Parmesan
- Red chili pepper flakes, to taste
- Pizza dough – I use fresh dough from the store
- Baking flour – Bob’s Red Mill is my favorite
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425 and let pizza dough come to room temperature.
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper, dust with flour and set aside.
- Heat a few tablespoons of olive oil over medium high heat in a skillet. Add sliced sweet onion and sauté until caramel brown. Add half of the green onions, garlic and ginger. Cook for another 5 minutes or so and turn off heat.
- Stretch and flatten dough into an oblong shape on the floured surface. You want don’t want any translucent areas.
- Add the desired amount of Mae Ploy sauce and spread evenly, leaving a crust. Brush the crust with olive oil.
- Sprinkle a light layer of shredded mozzarella. Add ham/Canadian bacon, chopped bacon, cilantro, a handful of green onions and more mozzarella. Carefully add the caramelized onion mixture. Top with Italian cheese blend and red chili pepper flakes.
- Cook until crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling. Cut in strips and heat leftovers in the air fryer or oven.
- Enjoy. 🤌🏼
