What I read last month:
- All That Remains by Sue Black ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) For forensic science and anatomy fans alike, Sue Black does not disappoint with this scientific collection of experience on death and dying. Please be aware that those experiencing recent grief should proceed with caution, some of the material could be shocking and heartbreaking if unprepared. This book was chosen by #truecrimebookclub.
- A Mother Would Know by Amber Garza ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3.5/5) You would know if your child was capable of murder, right? Valerie is certain her bright, caring son would not hurt a soul. Someone who commits heinous crimes against women wouldn’t drop everything to live with their aging mother, right? With A Mother Knows Best, Garza creates an intricate story of a mother’s love and just how much it can blind you.
- Dear Child by Romy Hausmann ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) Three minutes into this audio and I was hooked. Hausmann paints a picture of a child gone missing and a locked cabin in the woods. It’s been 14 years since Lena went missing and now, miraculously, she has been found. Or has she? This book was twisted and horrifying in the way that quick thrillers tend to be, I highly recommend curling up with it this fall.
My favorite?
